Sit on top kayaks have hull forms similar to their traditional counterparts, but instead of sitting inside the kayak, you can sit on the top of it.
They are made of a rotationally-molded polypropylene, practically unbreakable.
Sit on top kayaks have many advantages compared to traditional sit inside ones, they are also easier to use.
Corpulent paddlers with long legs or with a limited flexibility feel less confined to paddle a sit on top kayak.
One of the biggest advantages is the self-rescue, because the sit on top kayaks have an opened platform rather than a closed one by a skirt, so there is no risk of being trapped in the hull in case of toggling, and there is no need to bale out the water in case your kayak is filled with.
